‘Regional Integration and Economic Cooperation In Asia’ by Senior Professor Anoma Abayarathna
The inaugural lecture of the Short Course on Cultural Linkages towards an Asian Ideology 2021/2022 was delivered by Senior Professor Anoma Abayarathna on “Regional Integration and Economic Coorperation in Asia” on 8th October 2021 from 1600 to 1730 via Zoom.
Professor Abayarathna, is a Senior Professor in Economics at the Department of Economics and Statistics of the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, with many years of experience in university level teaching and research both locally and internationally. She holds a PhD and a MA from the University of Essex, UK, and an MPhil and a BA (honors) from the University of Peradeniya.
The course is organised for a second consecutive year by the Department of Social Sciences, FMSH under a grant awarded by the Eurasia Foundation (from Asia) in Japan. It is being held from October 2021 to February 2022 for a selected group of about 150 undergraduates representing all Faculties of KDU.
