Second Workshop on Communication and Docudrama Production – Organised by Department of Social Sciences

The second workshop on Communication and Docudrama production under the project – ‘Promoting Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and Responsible Use of Media’ was held on the 25^th November 2021 from 0830 hrs. to 1700 hrs. in 2HC classroom at the Faculty of Management, Social Sciences and Humanities (FMSH), KDU. The workshop was organized to educate undergraduates (intake 37 and 38) and past students of the Department of Social Sciences about Docudrama production.

The event was comprised of three (03) training sessions and the resource persons for the day were:

Mr. Sanjaya Nirmal – Film and tele drama director, film and tele drama screen writer and author.

Mr. Mahesh Uyanwatta– Actor, artist and assistant director.

Mr. Gihan Fernando – Actor

The three sessions included following activities:

First Session- Relaxation programme.
Second Session- Script writing (Developing the story of board), talent selection and physical exercises.
Third session – Motivation programme.

The workshop was organized by the Department of Social Sciences and supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with funding from the European Union.
