A Lecture on "National Security and Regional Cooperation" by Brigadier EADP Edirisinghe psc BA (Defence) MPA
The eleventh lecture of the Short Course on “Cultural Linkages towards an Asian Ideology” was delivered by Brigadier EADP Edirisinghe psc BA (Defence) MPA on “National Security and Regional Cooperation” on 22nd January 2021 from 1500 to 1635 via Zoom.
Brigadier EADP Edirisinghe is the current Rector of the Southern Campus of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, and he holds a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Colombo, a Bachelor of Defence Studies from KDU, and a Diploma in Diplomacy and International Affairs from the Bandaranaike International Diplomatic Training Institute.
Brigadier Prasad Edirisinghe was commissioned to the Regiment of the Gemunu Watch of the Sri Lanka Army in 1990 after completing his basic military training at KDU and the Sri Lanka Military Academy, and since then, he has held numerous important appointments in Command, Instructor and Staff fields.
The course is organized by the Department of Social Sciences, FMSH under a research grant awarded by the Eurasia Foundation (from Asia) in Japan and is held from 27th October 2020 to 10th of February 2021 for a selected group of undergraduates representing all Faculties of KDU.
