A Lecture on “Technological Adaptation for Asia” by Dr. (Mrs.) Namali Sirisoma

The sixth lecture of the Short Course on “Cultural Linkages towards an Asian Ideology” was delivered by Dr. Namali Sirisoma on “Technological Adaptation for Asia  on 5th January 2021 from 1500 to 1635 via Zoom. 

Dr. Namali Sirisoma is the Director of the Career Guidance Unit of the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU), a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Management and Finance of the Faculty of Management, Social Sciences and Humanities (FMSH) of KDU, and the former Dean, FMSH.

Dr. Sirisoma holds a BSc in Civil Engineering and a PhD in Transportation Engineering from the University of Moratuwa in Sri Lanka. She has over 20 years of experience in lecturing, research and consultancy in Transportation Engineering, Transportation Management and Logistics fields, and has held various important positions at the Ministry of Megapolis and Western Region Planning of Sri Lanka, the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka, the University of Moratuwa, the University of Calgary in Canada, the University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Sri Lanka.

The course is organized by the Department of Social Sciences, FMSH under a research grant awarded by the Eurasia Foundation (from Asia) in Japan and is held from 27th October 2020 to 10th of February 2021 for a selected group of undergraduates representing all Faculties of KDU.
