Cultural Linkages Towards an Asian Ideology 2020/2021

Welcome to the Cultural Linkages Towards an Asian Ideology short course for the academic year 2020/21. This exclusive course offered KDU undergraduates got a unique opportunity to enhance their skills and broaden their knowledge. From October 2020 to February 2021, students engaged in an enriching learning experience, exploring various subjects and topics. The course was conducted through Zoom on selected weekdays, providing a safe and interactive environment while allowing participants to manage their academic commitments. With a focus on strengthening language proficiency and gaining valuable insights into their chosen field, this free-of-charge course fostered a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere for all KDU undergraduates.

INAUGURATION OF THE SHORT COURSE ON “CULTURAL LINKAGES TOWARDS AN ASIAN IDEOLOGY”

The Inauguration Ceremony of the Short Course on “Cultural Linkages towards an Asian Ideology” was held on the 27th October 2020 from 1430 to 1600 hours at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Vice Chancellor, Major General Milinda Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil (Ind) PGDM graced the occasion as the Chief Guest of the event, while Professor Hajime Tozaki delivered the Key Note speech, and Senior Professor Anoma Abayarathne conducted a lecture on “Regional Cooperation & Economic Development in Asia”, the first lecture of the series.

The course is organised by the Department of Social Sciences, FMSH under a research grant awarded by the Eurasia Foundation (from Asia) in Japan and will be held from the 27th October 2020 to 10th of February 2021 for a selected group of undergraduates representing all Faculties of KDU.
