A Lecture on “Asian Identity towards Peace and Harmony" by Mr. S. Satheesmohan
The sixth lecture of the Short Course on “Cultural Linkages towards an Asian Ideology” was delivered by Mr. S. Satheesmohan on “Asian Identity towards Peace and Harmony” on 21st October 2021 from 1500 to 1635 via Zoom.
Mr. S. Satheesmohan is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Strategic Studies of the Faculty of Defence and Strategic Studies at the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University. He holds a MA in Conflict Resolution from the University of Bradford in the UK, a MA in International Peace Studies from the United Nations University for Peace in Costa Rica and a BA (Hons) in Philosophy with a First Class from the University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka. Mr. Satheesmohan is a senior academic in his field and has been a recipient of the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship in the UK, the International Visitors Leadership Fellowship in the USA, the Emerging International Leaders Fellowship in the UK and the Asia Leaders Fellowship in Japan.
The course is organised for a second consecutive year by the Department of Social Sciences, FMSH under a grant awarded by the Eurasia Foundation (from Asia) in Japan. It is being held from October 2021 to February 2022 for a selected group of about 150 undergraduates representing all Faculties of KDU.
