The Career Guidance workshop titled “Gain the Edge”, organized by the Department of Social Sciences of the Faculty of Management, Social Sciences and Humanities (FMSH) collaborating with the Career Guidance Unit of KDU was successfully held on 29^th of March 2023 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Graduate Studies of KDU. This is the fourth workshop that was organized under a series of training sessions for intake 38 day-scholars, conducted by FMSH with the title ‘Stepping into the Working World‘. The main facilitator of this session was Mr. Udara Viduranga, Assistant General Manager of Human Resources (Learning and Development) of Douglas and Sons (Pvt) Ltd. The session was conducted in three stages, the first being the pre-readiness session, followed by the pitch stage and the follow up stage. The training session was attended by Mr. Nuwan Herath- Head of the Department of Social Sciences, Dr. Tamara Jayasundara- Senior Lecturer of the Department of Social Sciences, Mrs. Kumuduni Weerasinghe- Internship coordinator of the Department of Social Sciences and the students of the Department of Social Sciences and Department of Management and Finance from the intake 38. The session was signed off by rewarding the resource person with a token of appreciation by Mrs. Kumuduni Weerasinghe- Internship coordinator, Department of Social Sciences.
