The Nineth lecture of the Short Course on “Cultural Linkages towards an Asian Ideology” for the academic year 2023/24 was presented by Dr. Kalpana Ambepitiya. Her lecture, titled “Cross Cultural Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Asia” took place on December 20th, 2023, from 1500 to 1640 via Zoom.
Dr. Kalpana Ambepitiya, Director of the Career Guidance Unit at General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University. She is also a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management & Finance of the Faculty of Management, Social Sciences and Humanities of KDU.
She holds a PhD from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, a Master of Business Administration in Finance, Indira Gandhi National Open University in India, and a Bachelor of Business Management specialized in Marketing from the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka.
The course is organized for the fourth consecutive year by the Department of Social Sciences, FMSH under a generous research grant awarded by the Eurasia Foundation (from Asia) in Japan. This course is scheduled to run from October 2023 to March 2024, catering to a select group of undergraduate students in intake 40, representing diverse faculties within KDU.
