A LECTURE ON "BRIDGING SRI LANKA’S HISTORY WITH HER FUTURE: A COSMOPOLITAN APPROACH” BY DR. SANATH DE SILVA

The seventh lecture of the Short Course on “Cultural Linkages towards an Asian Ideology – 2022/23” was delivered by Dr. Sanath De Silva on “Bridging Sri Lanka’s History with Her Future: A Cosmopolitan Approach” on 27th December 2022 from 1500 to 1640 via Zoom.

Dr. Sanath De Silva is a senior lecturer at the Department of Strategic Studies of the Faculty of Defence and Strategic Studies in General Sir John Kotelawala Defense University. He holds a PhD and in International Relations from the University of Colombo, a MA in International Relations from the University of Colombo and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Kelaniya in Sri Lanka. In addition to being an academic at KDU, Dr. Silva also serves as a visiting lecturer at the Staff College Sapugaskanda, Sri Lanka Military Academy in Diyathalawa, Sri Lanka Airforce Academy in Chana-Bay and Officer Career Development Center in Buttala.

The course is organized for the 3rd consecutive year by the Department of Social Sciences, FMSH under a research grant awarded by the Eurasia Foundation (from Asia) in Japan and will be held from October 2022 to February 2023 for a selected group of undergraduates representing all Faculties of KDU.
