A LECTURE ON "THE LAW, DISPUTE AND ADJUDICATION” BY HON. JUSTICE YASANTHA KODAGODA

The 13th lecture of the Short Course on “Cultural Linkages towards an Asian Ideology – 2022/23” was delivered by Hon. Justice Yasantha Kodagaoda on “The Law, Dispute and Adjudication on 07th February 2023 from 1500 to 1640 via Zoom.

Hon. Justice Yasantha Kodagoda, P.C. is a Judge of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka and President’s Counsel.  Over his long career spanning over three decades, His Lordship has held important positions such as the President of the Court of Appeal of Sri Lanka, the Second-in-Command of the Criminal Division of the Attorney General’s Department and Additional Solicitor General.

Hon. Justice Yasantha Kodagoda, P.C. having successfully completed the three Attorneys examinations, was called to the Bar as an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court in 1988, and holds a Masters’ Degree (LL.M.) in Public International Law from the University College London in the United Kingdom.

The course is organized for the 3rd consecutive year by the Department of Social Sciences, FMSH under a research grant awarded by the Eurasia Foundation (from Asia) in Japan and will be held from October 2022 to February 2023 for a selected group of undergraduates representing all Faculties of KDU.
