The Department of Social Sciences conducted a two-day workshop for its intake 38 and 39 students related to drone mapping technology. The workshop was also open for the Masters students of Disaster Risk Reduction and Development programme at KDU.
The resource person of the workshop was Plnr. WK Chathuranga Kumarasiri, Scientist (Town Planner), Human Settlements Planning & Training Division, National Building and Research Organization (NBRO). The workshop was carried out both on and off the field, which included several class room sessions at KDU and a practical session (a field visit to an NBRO site) in Kaluaggala area.
