Passed G.C.E.(O/L)  

OR 

Completed a course equivalent to SLQF Level 1 or NVQ Level 3 

OR 

Passed Certificate Course in English offered by the Department of Languages-KDU 

OR 

Obtained a Basic or Professional English Certificate of a recognized institution which is equivalent to the SLQF Level 1 

OR 

Completed junior secondary education with at least two years’ work experience in any field. 

AND

Faced the placement test conducted by the Department of Languages.  

(The purpose of placement test is to assist you to find the best course for your language improvements. You will be placed in a suitable group to ensure an effective teaching and learning process).

The registration desk is open from 11.00 a.m.- 12.30 p.m. on 24th August 2024.

A non-refundable registration fee of LKR 1000 should be paid at the registration table.

Additionally, for the registration process, you are required to bring the originals and photocopies of the following documents:

1. National Identity Card or Driving Licence or Birth Certificate
2. Certificates of relevant educational qualifications.
3. Payment proof of application fee. 

• Physical lectures are conducted every scheduled day at the university premises with the option for you to participate online. 
• Requirement: 75% attendance for physical lectures is compulsory to be eligible for the final examination.
