ETHICS IN PUBLISHING

Please keep in mind that any submission containing data from human participants will require ethical approval. Your article will not be sent out for review if it does not include ethical approval.

INTEREST DECLARATION

Any financial or personal links with other persons or organizations that might unfairly affect (bias) their work must be disclosed by all authors. Employment, consultancies, stock ownership, honoraria, paid expert testimony, patent applications/registrations, and grants or other support are all examples of possible clashing interests. Any potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed in two places:

  1. In the title page file, a short declaration of interest statement (double anonymized). If there are no conflicts of interest to declare, please write "Declarations of interest: none."
  2. Extensive disclosures on a separate Author Declaration Form that is filed with the journal's official records. Potential conflicts of interest must be reported in both locations, and the information must match.
