SUBMISSIONS

SUBMISSION DECLARATION AND VERIFICATION

In general, an author should not submit papers to more than one journal of primary publication reporting basically the same study. It is unethical and improper to submit the same article to more than one journal at the same time.

In general, an author should not submit a previously published manuscript for consideration in another journal, unless it is in the form of an abstract, as part of a published lecture or academic thesis, or as an electronic preprint.

In the event that a manuscript has been selected and reviewed by the JMSH editorial board and the author fails to complete the review process and submit their work for publication, the editor-in-chief reserves the right to restrict the author from publishing in the journal for a period of time deemed appropriate.

Submission of an article implies that the work described has not been published previously (except as a conference abstract or as part of a published lecture or thesis for an academic qualification), that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, that it has been approved for publication by all authors and tacitly or explicitly by the responsible authorities where the work was carried out, and that, if accepted, it will not be published elsewhere in the world. Your article may be checked for originality using Turnitin, a plagiarism detection technology.

Use of Terminology that is Inclusive

Inclusive language values diversity, shows respect for all people, is sensitive to differences, and encourages equality. Content should make no assumptions about the reader's ideas or commitments; contain nothing that suggests one person is superior to another based on age, gender, race, ethnicity, culture, sexual orientation, disability, or health condition; and utilize inclusive language throughout. Bias, stereotyping, slang, references to dominant culture, and/or cultural preconceptions should all be avoided by authors. We recommend aiming for gender neutrality by defaulting to plural nouns and avoiding "he, she," or "he/she" whenever possible. These rules are intended to serve as a starting point for identifying proper language, but they are neither exhaustive nor definitive.

Author Contributions

We request authors to provide an author statement document detailing their specific contributions to the paper to maintain transparency. JMSH does not list more than six authors to a paper and special justification will be required if required to do so.

Alterations to Authorship

Before submitting any work, writers are expected to thoroughly examine the list and order of authors and to provide the final list of authors at the time of the original submission. Any changes to the authorship list, such as the addition, deletion, or rearranging of names, should be made only after the paper has been accepted and only with the Journal Editor in Chief’s approval.

Copyright

Authors will be asked to fill out a 'Journal Publishing Agreement' once their article has been accepted. The corresponding author will receive an email confirming receipt of the paper, along with a 'Journal Publishing Agreement' form.

Permission is granted without charge to make digital or hard copies of part or all of JMSH publications for personal or classroom use, provided that copies are not distributed for profit or direct commercial advantage, and that copies include this notice on the first page or initial screen of a display, along with the full citation, including the author's name. Copyrights for parts of this work that are not owned by JMSH must be honoured. It is permissible to abstract with credit.

The author has permission to post on servers, redistribute to mailing lists, and utilize any part of this work in other works as long as a reference to its publication in JMSH is included. For others to do so, it is required that they first obtain permission and/or pay a fee.

Involvement of the Source of Funding

You must identify who provided financial support for the research and/or preparation of the article, as well as briefly explain the role played by the sponsor(s), if there is any, in study design, data collection, analysis, interpretation, article writing, and the decision to submit the article for publication. It should be noted if the financing source(s) had no such engagement.

Open Access

The JMSH is open-sourced and available for downloading at (volume).

Usage of Language and Editing Services

Please have your text written in good and clear English. If the reviewers judge the work as acceptable for publication, authors are required to have their manuscripts sent to independent copy editors to prevent probable grammatical or spelling issues and to conform to good scientific English.
