Under the theme “Evergreen”, the Disaster Management Exhibition 2022 was held on 06th October 2022 at the Academic Building. Major General Milinda Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil, Vice Chancellor of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, graced the event as the Chief Guest, while Brigadier W Chandrasiri RSP USP psc- Deputy Vice Chancellor (Defence and Administration), Prof. KAS Dhammika- Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), Colonel RKARP Rathnayake RSP USP psc- Dean of the Faculty of Defence and Strategic Studies, and Mr Kithsiri Amarathunga- Dean of the Faculty of Management, Social Sciences and Humanities were the Guests of Honor of the event. The exhibition focused on creating awareness of the preparedness measures for droughts, Tsunamis, forest fires, cyclones, war, epidemics, floods, landslides, and industrial disasters. This event was organized by the Intake 39 students of the BSc in Logistics Management and BSc in Management & Technical Sciences degree programmes of the Department of Management and Finance under the guidance of Dr Kalpana Ambepitiya.
