Modern higher education is keen on producing skilled graduates to achieve optimum career opportunities of the complex world of work. The Career Guidance Unit (CGU) of General Sir John Kotelawala University was established in September 2020 to improve the quality of KDU students’ 21st century skills while creating a strong link between the university and corporate sector. Dr Namali Sirisoma has been appointed as the Director of Career Guidance Unit effective from 12th September 2020. With her immense involvement, CGU of KDU will facilitate several programmes to enhance students’ soft skills, entrepreneurial skills, and other related areas.
