MANAGEMENT MODULE AT FMSH, KDU – NO. 77 JUNIOR COMMAND AND STAFF COURSE




The Management Module for the Student Officers of the No. 77 Junior Command and Staff Course commenced on 30th September 2024 at the Faculty of Management, Social Sciences, and Humanities at General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University.

This course comprises of 28 Officers from the Sri Lanka Air Force, holding the ranks of Squadron Leader and Flight Lieutenant, along with a Lieutenant from the Sri Lanka Navy. Additionally, the international scope of the programme is enhanced by the inclusion of a Squadron Leader from the Indian Air Force and a Captain from the Zambian Air Force, showcasing the collaborative and multinational nature of the training.

Over a comprehensive period of three weeks, the module provided knowledge in core management subjects, including General Management, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Geopolitics, and Project Management. The course content was meticulously designed to address both theoretical knowledge and practical applications, preparing the Officers for leadership roles in dynamic and complex operational environments.

The module concluded successfully on 21st October 2024, marking a significant milestone in the professional development of the participating Officers.
