A webinar on “Master class on Pitching Research” successfully completed on 28th September 2020 (from 5.30 pm to 8.00 pm) for academics, PhD and Masters Students and upcoming researchers of the Sri Lankan Universities. The webinar was organized by the Faculty of Management, Social Sciences and Humanities (FMSH) at the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) with the collaboration of Queensland Business School (QBS) in Australia and event was coordinated by Prof. (Dr.) Wasantha Perera, Department of Management and Finance, FMSH. The most fascinatingly, the inventor of the concept of Pitching Research, Prof. (Dr) Robert Faff, Professor of Finance and formerly Director of Research at the QBS, Queensland University, conducted the webinar clarifying the areas as per the participants’ requirements. The participants were from multiple disciplines who were interested in qualitative or quantitative research. The event was a resourceful platform for all the participants to expand their knowledge on a multi-functional simple template tool which is well structured, brief, simple, methodical, clear and focused. Discussion time, in the end, culminated in opening up opportunities for new research experience to the participants.
