The Faculty of Management, Social Sciences and Humanities of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University launched its Comperes’ Circle and held the installation ceremony for the new executive committee and board of directors for the 2024/25 academic year.
The event, which took place on 23rd October 2024, began with the arrival of the chief guest Dr. Lakshika Liyanage, the Dean of the Faculty, the guest of Honour, Dr. Thilini Wijethunga, and invited dignitaries.
The highlight of the event was the installation ceremony of the new executive committee members and board of directors. The newly appointed president, Amandi Kulathilake addressed the gathering, outlining the club’s objective and purpose.
The ceremony also featured guest speeches by Ms. Hansika Godage and Mr. Thashmira Rajapaksha, emphasizing the importance of public speaking and communication skills.
In conclusion, the FMSH Comperes’ Circle installation ceremony was a successful event that marked the beginning of a new chapter. The newly appointed executive committee and board of directors will function with the guidance of Dr. Dhinesha Perera, the lecturer-in-charge and advisor of the compere’s circle.
