Case Study Tour of Intake 34
The annual case study tour of the Department of Social Sciences was conducted from the 11th to the 13th of October 2018. The aim of the case study tour was to ascertain issues and opportunities emerging from the construction of the Central Expressway (E04) Phase 02 (40Km section between Mirigama and Kurunegala), particularly the increasing trend of soil cutting and selling for highway construction by private land owners of the ‘Peella Kanda’ mountain area of the Narammala Divisional Secretariat (DS) in the Kurunegala district.
