The Human Resource management Masterclass, titled “Exploring the Cutting Edge of HR” hosted by the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management in partnership with the existing MOU with General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University was held on 29th April 2024 at the university premises.
The focus was on examining how disruptive technologies are reshaping the human resources landscape, explore concepts such as digitalization, blockchain, and HRIS and understand their implications for the future of HR management.
The esteemed resource person for the masterclass was Mr. Viraj Goonewardena, the General Manager of Group IT at McLarens Group. With over 21 years of invaluable experience in the industry, Mr. Goonewardena has experience through multiple sectors, including Apparel Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, FMCG, Hotel industry, and Shipping. He has led IT departments at prominent organizations such as Hemas Holdings and T&FG Group, bringing a wealth of expertise and insight to the discussion.
Further Mr. Anushka Earskin,The Head of Business School conducted an insightful CIPM awareness session for the Logistics Management and Management and Technical Sciences students of intake 40 who were present there.
