The largest national rowing competition in Sri Lanka was organized by the Amateur Rowing Association of Sri Lanka (ARASL) for the 38th consecutive year, and it took place at the Diyawanna Rowing Club in Battaramulla from 29th March to 01st April 2023. The closing ceremony of the National Rowing championship was held on 1st April 2023. More than 340 Oarsmen and Oarswomen in different age groups competed in this National Rowing Championship 2023 and the tournament featured 21 institutions, including the best clubs, universities, and schools in the nation. Over 140 races in men’s and women’s singles, doubles, pairs, and quadruple were run over a 2,000-meter course in accordance with international standards.
By winning the following medals, the KDU Rowing Team members who represented the Faculty of Management, Social Sciences, and Humanities brought honour to the University.
