The Men’s Handball Team of the Faculty of Management, Social Sciences and Humanities became the Second Runner up at the Inter Faculty Handball Tournament of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) which was held on 16th, 17th, 18th and 20th of March 2023. The tournament was ceremonially closed on 31st of March 2023, after competitive 5 days of performance of talented players of 10 faculties. The closing ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Major General Milinda Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil, the Vice Chancellor of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University. The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Defence & Administration) and President of the Sports Council of KDU, Brigadier DCA Wickramasinghe USP USACGSC, Deans of all the faculties, Senior Lecturers, Officers, Officer Cadets (O/C) and Day Scholars participated in the closing ceremony of the Annual Inter-Faculty Games.
Three players of the Men’s Handball Team of the Faculty of Management, Social Sciences and Humanities, O/C Dilitha de Silva, O/C Anjelo Perera and O/C Samitha Danapala of the team were among the nominated seven best players. Best Attacker Trophy and the title were won by O/C Dilitha de Silva of Faculty of Management Social Sciences and Humanities.
