The Center For Gender Equity And Equality of KDU organized a ceremony to mark International Women’s day on 7th March 2024 at KDU FGS auditorium. In this celebration titled “Empower Her” the Dean FMSH addressed the audience with a remarkable message for women’s day.
Moreover, the following senior academic staff members from FMSH were awarded long service awards and certificates for diligent services rendered for more than ten years to the university. Ms.Imendra Wattuhewa was recognized and appreciated for more than 20 years of service and Ms. Dushanthi Lokuge Ms. Chamila Kotelawala, Dr. Thilini Wijetunge, Ms. Vasuki Jayasinghe, Ms. Upeksha Walisundara, Ms. Dinesha Perera, Ms. Tamara Kotelawala, Ms. Tania Weeraratna, Dr. Lakshika Liyanage and Dr. Namali Sirisoma were awarded for 10+ years of service. The event was coloured with a variety of items including dances, music, drama and songs performed by students, academic and non academic staff including military.
