Receiving CILT accreditation for BSc in Logistics Management and MBA in Logistics Management Degree Programmes

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University received the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) accreditation for degree programmes of BSc in Logistics Management and MBA in Logistics Management on 26th July 2019. These degrees are offered by the Faculty of Management, Social Science & Humanities (FMSH) and Faculty of Graduate Studies of KDU. Vice – Chancellor of KDU, Air Vice Marshal Sagara Kotakadeniya, the Dean of the faculty Dr. Namali Sirisoma and the Head of the Department of Management and Finance Dr. Upali Rajapaksha participated at the awarding ceremony.

CILT International qualifications are recognized globally across 34 CILT countries and beyond.

As a partial fulfillment of the process, initially a CILT accreditation workshop was conducted with participation of the international coordinator of CILT Mr. Jon Harris with the objective of recognizing the feasibility of accrediting the above degree programmes.
