The newly appointed Vice Chancellor of the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, Air Vice Marshal HMSKB Kotakadeniya (WWV, RWP, RSP, USP, MSc (Def & Strat Stu) fndu, psc), visited the Faculty of Management, Social Sciences and Humanities (FMSH) on the 18th of January 2019. He was warmly welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Namali Sirisoma along with the Heads of the Departments.
The Vice Chancellor met all the members of the faculty at the faculty premises and the Dean conducted a comprehensive presentation on the faculty, its contribution to the university and affiliated institutions, its strengths and the areas that need further improvement. The Vice Chancellor commended the contribution of the faculty to the university in particular and the country in general; and assured that he would extend his fullest support to expand the FMSH development activities.
After the presentation, the Vice Chancellor visited the two Language Laboratories and Lecture Halls of the faculty building. During this visit he was accompanied by the Deputy Vice Chancellor Defence and Administration, Maj Gen. IP Ranasinghe, and the Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic, Prof. MHJ Ariyaratne.
