[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]A workshop on industrial training was organized by the Department of Social Sciences, on 31st May 2022, for intake 37 day – scholars with the purpose of facilitating a smooth transition from academics to the professional world of working.
The programme commenced with Mrs. Kumuduni Weerasinghe, Lecturer and Internship Coordinator for the Department of Social Sciences, welcoming the gathering and providing an introduction to the industrial training programme. This was then followed by an address by Mr. Nuwan Herath, the Head of the Department of Social Sciences, who provided guidance to the students and advised them on what to expect and how to best face what lies ahead for them.
